In addition to our popular Sir Walter, Twin View Turf grows and supplies a range of other varieties. Most are bred and cultivated for a very particular purpose, generally sporting fields.
TifSport
Tifsport is a certified couch grass designed primarily for sports field and commercial applications where there is likely to be heavy traffic. It is an aggressive grower, therefore it establishes quickly, repairs quickly and can handle the rigors of sports field use. In Brisbane it is used on a large number of Cricket Fields, AFL, NRL and soccer fields, and in the USA it is a preferred choice for Gridiron stadiums. Twin View Turf are the Australian License holders for TifSport.
TifEagle
TifEagle is in the third generation of grass varieties developed exclusively for golf greens. With tiny foliage, a close knit structure, low thatch build-up and incredible hardiness this superdwarf is ideal for premium green applications. Requires a professional level of maintenance, however it produces a playing surface of superior standard to both 328 and TifDwarf.
TifDwarf
A specialist hybrid couch suitable for both putting and bowling greens. More heat and humidity resistant than its predecessor 328, it has a darker green colour than 328, and requires less fertilization. It does not tolerate shade, pests or herbicides quite as well as 328.
TifGreen 328
TifGreen is a hybrid couch. A cross between a Couch and a dwarf it is a popular choice for golfing applications. Its short internodes and tolerance to low mowing make it ideal for green use. TifGreen 328 is the grass type we recommend for customers wanting a putting green in their backyard.
